NLM Announces New Colloquia on Biomedical Data Science and Computational Biology Research
The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is pleased to announce the launch of the NLM Colloquia on Biomedical Data Science and Computational Biology Research, a new series of regular scientific lectures from experts in the rapidly evolving fields of biomedical data science and computational biology research. The series is presented by NLM’s Division of Intramural Research (DIR), a premier hub of innovation for biomedical data science and computational biology research.
For the inaugural talk, NLM welcomes Dr. Xavier Berthet, Director of Biomedical Research, Education, and Innovation at Institut Pasteur Dakar. Dr. Berthet will deliver his lecture entitled, “From Galois Groups to Genomic Algebra: Unraveling the Language of Genomes,” 11 am on Friday, October 18, 2024. Attendees are welcome in person at Natcher Conference Center (Building 45, Room E1/E2) or online by NIH Videocast.
The Colloquia will continue to feature guest speakers from across the bioinformatics community, who will present their research and discuss how it contributes to advancing biomedical discovery. Find more information about this event and check for future talks on the NLM DIR Lectures webpage.
